What does it mean to be a child? And when is you young child become an adult child and what does that mean? I know its all confusing so lets start off with an easy definition.
Your child is your offspring, or a young person that you care for. Now that was easy. Bring on the big tough parts.
Lets start with what is the difference between a child child and an adult child. Does your child always owe you for the love and care you provided as they grew up? I say no. I think that you care for them ’cause you love them. Now an adult child would be a child that you let go. Hodding Carter says “There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, the other, wings. ” So when you let your child fly then they become an adult child. (I say this should happen in college, if not a lot of freedom to test fly in high school.)
So the difference between a young child and an adult child is choice. An adult child can choose what they want and how to get it. This sounds like respecting an adult’s autonomy.
